This 90s home needed a serious refresh to match the current homeowner’s sense of style as well as their practical needs. Gaspar’s was charged with creating a WOW factor for the couple’s home—a space that dazzles guests when entertaining.

Originally, the home’s space wasn’t being utilized well. It felt cluttered, chaotic, and inefficient. Gaspar’s started by updating the entry, changing the dated style door to a modern five-foot door that pivots rather than hinges. This lets the couple feel like they’re walking into their own kingdom—and doubles as a conversation starter for parties. The vaulted ceilings in the entry felt like a waste of space, so Gaspar’s closed off the ceiling and created a second office since the couple was working from home full-time.

The homeowners felt the kitchen was too cramped to cook together. Gaspar’s shifted the kitchen to create a pantry for more storage. The extra space helped the couple’s kitchen space become more organized. They also built a custom 12-foot island with a waterfall edge countertop.

The fireplace across from the kitchen wasn’t used and took up too much space. Removing it helped make room to shift the dining table.

Gaspar’s added in some unique features to meet this couple’s needs, including a custom wine closet in the unused space under the stairs and copper plates to accent their island, emphasizing the couple’s love of copper.
